Gio's ba-a-a-a-a-a-ck... And the Getty Girls are rejoicing! Speculation puts these photos at about episode 3 or 4 depending on who you ask, but since there's been a lot of studio filming lately, no idea if this is his first appearance of the season!

Congrats to America Ferrera and the cast and crew of Ugly Betty! They were the top honored show and cast at last night's ALMA Awards, celebrating Latinos on film, tv and in music!

They were honored for:
• Entertainer of the year: America Ferrera
• Performance by a Latino ensemble in a television series: "Ugly Betty," ABC.
• Director of a television series: Linda Mendoza, "Ugly Betty," ABC.

And Ugly Betty related, the movie La Misma Luna was honored as well--
• Special achievement award: Spanish-language motion picture: "La Misma Luna."

The ALMA Awards will air on ABC on Friday, Sept. 12 at 8/7c.

Yesterday afternoon was the ABC Showrunner panel which Horta participated in.

Sadly no news/spoilers were spilled that confirmed or denied if Freddy Rodriguez would be back for Season 3, but Horta's tone seemed to confirm the end of Betty and Henry:

"Horta didn't see a future for Henry and Betty. 'It just made sense to part ways (with Chris Gorham). It felt like it was time to move on.'"

Since it was a showrunner panel, Horta shared time with the minds behind some of ABC's big hitters like Lost, Desperate Houswives and Grey's Anatomy. Sadly, the critics seemed more interested in making mountains out of molehills over all the Grey's drama rather than find out details about the other shows represented on the panel.

Congrats to America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams for snagging Emmy nominations in two of the major Emmy Categories!

America Ferrera grabbed a spot on the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Vanessa Williams for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series!

The big shocker is that Ugly Betty did NOT get nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. Okay, maybe not as big a shocker as would like to be believed. But what does this mean for UB? Possible re-tooling?

Judging from the rest of the UB nominations, we can deduce that the academy judges think UB LOOKS good... It just perhaps is not funny enough...
